It has been a pleasure and a privilege practicing exclusively within Georgia’s workers’ compensation system over the past decade, representing injured workers and working closely with employers, insurers, and defense counsel to resolve claims. Prior to my legal career, I spent over five years as a workers’ compensation paralegal.

While many of you know me, you might not know that my passion for mediation and resolution predates my legal career. I am formally trained in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and completed a masters’ degree in Conflict Management as an Honors Scholar before law school, specializing in mediation, interpersonal/intrapersonal conflict, workplace conflict, and cultural conflict.

I believe that mediation is one of the most powerful tools in the legal arena. While the process has structure, it is flexible and accommodating. Mediations can resolve cases quickly, with minimal cost, and because the parties play an active role during negotiations, they generally leave the table content with the outcome.

My approach to mediation is calm, organized, pragmatic, transparent, and most importantly, intentional. I work hard to build a safe space where difficult discussions regarding positions and interests can be facilitated. My goal is to make each party feel comfortable enough to discuss their “BATNA” (best alternative to a negotiated agreement) with me. I am always focused on helping parties realistically evaluate risk, identify common ground, and reach resolution.

My formal training equips me to work with individuals from Georgia’s diverse educational, cultural, and professional backgrounds. I can also identify and address gender and cultural nuances, ensuring that all parties feel seen, heard, and participate meaningfully in the process.
